Understanding the Workflow Settings Tab

This article reviews the general settings tab that affects the workflow and its actions. Understanding the Settings tab for Workflow behavior is crucial, especially when making changes in this area.

You would navigate to the settings tab to view the general settings area within any workflow.

Part 1: Contact

Allow re-entry: Let a contact enter this workflow multiple times if desired. This will automatically occur for invoice or appointment-based triggers.

Stop On Response: The feature stops the workflow from moving through the automation sequence once the lead replies. This is useful, especially for emails that you only want to be sent when the lead is in a certain pipeline.

Note: Allowing a contact can be implemented temporarily for testing purposes.

Part 2: Communication

  • Timezone: Select account timezone or contact timezone
  • Specific Time: You can restrict communication to a particular window you define.
  • Sender Details: Sets a default sending email address and name that can be overridden by the email actions in the workflow if desired.
  • Mark as Read: Controls whether or not automated messages are automatically marked as read in the conversation.
