Workflow Trigger: Membership New Signup

Membership New Signup will activate when a contact is granted an offer for the first time. You can now access new custom values by using Membership New Signup. You would use this trigger to provide credentials for a membership offer. Membership Contact is in an email builder at the bottom of the Custom Values list above your unique custom values.

Membership New Signup signifies the contact did an action– they filled out a form, made a purchase, etc., or can be viewed as the first offer granted. In comparison, Offer Access Granted implies an action done by YOU or a workflow permitting them to access the offer after the first time. Please view our articles on memberships for more information.

  • Add the trigger with a filter for the offer and save

Note: The Membership Grant action will trigger the default email, or the membership new signup triggers for membership emails.

Please Note: You can grant an offer manually from the contact page, but this is not the best option if you use a workflow to send login credentials. This will only work correctly for templates in email settings. If you enabled the templates in Membership > Settings > Email Settings. View our articles on magic links and membership emails for more information.

Notes

1: Credentials not sending can be fixed by sending a magic link or a password reset from the contact area. View our articles on granting membership offers for more information.

2: If you use the Offer Access Granted Trigger, remember that credentials will not be sent. Credentials will only populate when using the Membership New Signup trigger with workflows the first time an offer is granted.

3: You would also add the Offer Access Granted Trigger to the workflow if login credentials are irrelevant. Credentials will only populate when using the Membership New Signup trigger with workflows the first time an offer is granted.
