Call Tracking and Missed Call Text Back for Google My Business
Google My Business (GMB) allows businesses to register two phone numbers. This allows you to track calls generated from GMB listings without a negative impact on your SEO (in other words: moving the business's real phone number to the secondary slot has not been found to negatively affect SEO rankings).
Our GMB integration allows you to automatically move the main business number to the secondary slot for call tracking and add a Twilio number to the first slot for ease and convenience.
Follow these simple steps to get started:
-
- Under Settings > Integration, you can see your GMB Configuration, with a toggle for GMB Call Tracking.
- When toggled on, a few things will occur:
-
- If the phone number in GMB is already a Twilio number from the account, nothing will be changed, as the business's calls are already being tracked in NicheFit.
- Suppose the phone number in GMB is also the forwarding number for any of the Twilio numbers in the account. In that case, NicheFit will move the current number to the secondary slot and add the Twilio number in the first slot.
- Suppose the phone number in GMB is not the forwarding number for any of the Twilio numbers in the account. In that case, NicheFit will move the current number to the secondary slot, add the Twilio number to the primary slot, and set the current number as the forwarding number for the Twilio number in the account.
- Nothing will be changed if toggled off, and the number(s) will remain as-is.
